About breadboardhub

The open registry for electronics engineers, students, and hobbyists.

What is breadboardhub?

breadboardhub is a free, open platform where you can find, simulate, fork, and share circuit designs, firmware, and schematics. Think of it as the Hugging Face for electronics — every design gets a permanent URL, a live simulation preview, and a version history.

Who is it for?

  • Software engineers learning hardware — Browse working examples, fork them, and simulate before buying components.
  • Electronics students and hobbyists — Learn from real circuits with interactive simulations powered by Wokwi and CircuitJS.
  • Semiconductor vendor DevRel teams — Showcase reference designs, capture leads with gated access, and sponsor leaderboards.

Simulation

breadboardhub is not a simulation engine. We embed best-in-class tools:

  • Wokwi — Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi Pico simulation in the browser
  • CircuitJS — Interactive analog and digital circuit simulation
  • ngspice-WASM — Full SPICE simulation running client-side (coming soon)

Open Source

All public designs on breadboardhub are shared under their creator's chosen license (MIT by default). We believe open hardware accelerates innovation. Every design is forkable, every simulation is shareable.
